Part-Time Project Manager / Fundraising Consultant (Contract)

Role Summary

The Part-Time Project Manager / Consultant is a contract-based role supporting Seven Cranes Consulting’s client engagements on a part-time, flexible basis. This position combines day-to-day project management with hands-on fundraising consulting and systems implementation. This role is designed for an independent contractor who thrives in a structured but flexible consulting environment and is comfortable balancing coordination, documentation, data management, and execution across multiple workstreams. This role is for you if you thrive on operationalizing strategies and plans. Success in the role means client projects stay on track and within scope; deliverables are timely, clear, practical, and client-ready; and you are increasingly proactive, observant, and creative with time in the role.

About Seven Cranes Consulting

In many Asian cultures, the crane has come to symbolize longevity and good fortune. Origami paper cranes (or senbazuru) are a Japanese symbol of hope and peace. A legend in Japan says anyone who unfolds one thousand paper cranes will be granted a wish. At temples throughout the country, people leave strings of senbazuru behind as a prayer. The cranes are left exposed to the elements, slowly becoming tattered and dissolving as symbolically, the wish is released.

So many nonprofits struggle to see a path to longevity when constantly under-resourced. At Seven Cranes Consulting, our mascot is more than a wish. We aspire to get clients and their teams to a level at which they can soar confidently into their future with the wind at their tail. As their fundraising consulting and recruiting partners, we don’t tell clients what to do; we teach them how to do it. We deliver work that is thoughtful, implementable, and sustainable. Our goal is to go from essential to unnecessary by equipping nonprofit clients with proven methods, tools, and experienced teams.
